THE POWER OF CHOICE
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.” Daniel 1:8, 15 KJV
GOOD DAY: I have experienced the power of choice in a way that I will always ask and encourage anybody to make clear choices and purpose to stand by them no matter what. Having no clear purpose in life leaves the power base of our lives moving in any direction leading to confusion and lack of peace. I was always wanting to know why I am here on earth just like all of us want to know why we are here. I found the answer to that question and it is the same answer for everybody. The answer to the almighty question is WE ARE HERE TO LIVE THIS LIFE. I AM HERE TO LIVE THIS LIFE. Period. I am here to choose how I will live this life and purpose to stick with my choice. Life brings the same thing to everybody. Jesus said “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33 ESV
Put in another version “And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!””

This world doles trouble and sorrows to everybody but Jesus tells us to be of good cheer. It is your duty to accept or reject that choice.
I chose sometime back that I WILL GIVE THANKS IN ALL THINGS. Since then, I have gone through Daniel’s experience at various times. I have had real trials. But I purposed not to eat the meat of the king of this world. I purposed to GIVE THANKS TO GOD instead of being sorrowful, rude, judgemental, unkind or deny God and His word. In all of my trials, I have always come out as an amazement to people. I have even been amazed at myself. I wondered where the strength to stand has come from. God has shown Himself mighty on my behalf each time in all angles of life. I urge you too to choose how you will face life and be constant with it. Remember the world doles the same thing to everybody in different ways but with the same purpose to steal, kill and destroy. You purpose he cannot do that to you because Jesus has overcome the world. Your choice is the steering wheel of the vehicle called your life. I have come to one equation of living.

PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to be clear about my choice in life and keep to it no matter what.
