August 29. Jeremiah ch 49-51
HOPE IN THE REMNANT
And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward. Isaiah 37:31 ESV
GOOD DAY: God has comfort for everyone who trusts in Him. There are so many people with reports of losses and downturns in their affairs since the beginning of covid. The problem all over the world now is that the virus is mutating to various versions and a particular one has no symptoms. God has a word for the survivors of past attacks. You will not be afflicted but you will grow roots downwards and bear fruit upwards if you will believe. If there is anything that is clear now, science does not have any definitive clue for stopping covid virus neither do they know or acknowledge the source of it. There are various theories that it is man made. That is for covid. But for people who have suffered losses in whatever form, there is a remnant for you. We do not appreciate remnants but prefer to gloat over what we have lost that probably we cannot get back. There is beauty in remnants. You can leave a name behind after you leave this incarnation with whatever remnants you have after your losses. There are gifts in you that God has placed in you for the benefit of anyone who comes into your bubble. Is it love, spend it on those who need love around you. Is it money? Spend it on those who need it around you. As you use your gift to benefit others, you will feel good and arise to live your life beautifully in a new way while remembering your losses with joy and happiness. Losses I have discovered opened new strength and opportunities you didn’t know you had before. It takes great strength from God to get up from a loss and live a new normal life with what you have left. Loss is not limited to death but loss of job, marriage, possessions, health and many other things. The key truth is that there is life beyond a loss.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank you for the seed of life that is in the remnant. Help us to focus on the power of the remnant rather than the pain of losses.
