POWER TESTER
“We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 TPT
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: In engineering, we design objects with a maximum load bearing capacity. This capacity is known and stated clearly in the operating manual so that the equipment is not loaded beyond its capacity leading to failure. The machine is also checked from time to time for signs of wear and tear that could have weakened any part of the machine beyond critical load capacity. This wisdom is from God. On this first day of the last quarter of the year, I don’t know what challenges you have been bearing and struggling in your own strength but I want you to know that it is time to turn to the Lord Jesus to show you His way of escape.
God created each one of us with His strength to withstand challenges. He will not load us more than we can bear. Whatever you are going through, know that His ability to face it and stand is within you. One of my favourite scriptures in times of trial is our scripture today. God does not say all will go smoothly once we do everything right but He does not allow the trial that will kill our souls to affect us. To every trial, He provides a way out so that your soul will be intact.
“If you faint when under pressure, you have need of courage.” Proverbs 24:10 TPT. Pressure is the way of making you know your strength. Courage to remain steadfast and move on in the face of a challenge is the measure of that strength. This presumes that you know what you want to achieve or who you want to be. If you have no definite purpose for your life, when trials come, you cannot see the way of escape that God maps out for you without hurting others or yourself. If you are frustrated, ask God for courage and so you can find His way of escape without losing your soul. Never take your frustration out on others as your wicked acts will surely come back to you as God will preserve the person you have hurt.
Today’s Exercise: God will not give you a cross that you can’t bear. Trials prove your courage and commitment to your purpose. Open your mind to God’s way of escape so you can stand. Say to yourself ten times and as often as you face a challenge “I have God’s capacity to overcome this challenge. I am courageous. I renew my strength in the Lord and I overcome”. Have a good day.
