PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”

Psalms 107:19-20

GOOD DAY: I was listening to two women at the bus stop the other day and heard them conclude that the end of the world is near. They were not having any religious discussion but just discussing the various wars and rumours of wars, how the cost of living has gone up, the threat of another pandemic etc. and their conclusion was that the world is about to end. Now going by what Jesus said, these things happening are the beginning of birth pain. How do we prepare?

When troubles become really much, even the so-called atheist calls on God and asks where Jesus Christ is. The way to prevent bowing down to evil because of hardships and threats to one’s life is to be familiar with the word of God. When the children of Israel were distressed in their journey and they called on God, He sent His word and healed them. Every wise person should start getting familiar with the word of God and practicing how to use the word. I was instructed by the Spirit to go back to reading the Bible in 120 days and using a hard copy bible not an electronic one. Going back to the hard copy bible was a bit difficult at first, I had to pray for the grace to persist until it became easy. It takes reading for one hour per day and between eight and ten chapters. As you do it consistently, you will be familiar with God’s will and how He instructs in every circumstance. Be filled with the word as that is your medicine from God.
