PROGNOSIS OF IMPROVEMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness.
Matthew 23:25-27 ESV
GOOD DAY. We all want a change for the better in our lives but we do not know how to go about it. Jesus gave insight into changing our outside world in His rebuke of the pharisees. The prognosis of change is INSIDE TO OUTSIDE. We are taught to put up the appearance of who we want to be by confessing positively without full explanation of how it works for it to be profitable. This kind of attitude is described thus: Like clouds and wind without rain Is a man who boasts of his gifts falsely.
Proverbs 25:14 NASB1995
In your speaking and acting positively, don’t promise or give an outward picture that you cannot fulfill. You end up disappointing people and invoking a woe rather than a blessing. To change your life according to your desire, first check your mindset. Deep deep inside you, what do you believe about yourself and your situation? How do you think and believe your desire could be met? Let us take being rich as our case study. At present, you don’t have enough. Do you believe it is possible for you to have enough that you can even give to others? What is your attitude towards those who are already in the position that you desire? What ways do you consider as possible for you to have enough for yourself and to give to others? These are some of the inner cleansing that will be needed so that your heart will be pure. Once the inside is clean, it works out the cleansing of the outside. We shall talk more about this later.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to cleanse my inside that the outside of my life will be clean as well.
