THE REAL WEALTH

Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give to you; for Him has God the Father sealed.” John 6:27 AFV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: When I had no car, I struggled and saved to buy one thinking that having one will make me happy and enjoy life. I soon discovered that to be wrong after getting one. Then, I wanted a female child after three boys. Also after having one, I discovered that having children of both sexes didn’t make me happy and fulfilled as I thought I needed something else to be fulfilled. The list goes on as you too know it. I soon discovered that even the richest man wants more as all his possessions and power have not satisfied him. He is struggling to be who he already is but he does not know yet he cannot be that which he wants that his mind tells him he can be. He wants to be LIFE. He wants to be GOD THE GODHEAD. We are gods but none of us as a single entity can be the almighty God controlling all creation. This is the void in all mankind that nothing can fill to make him fulfilled or satisfied.

Jesus said man should labour for what endures for eternity and not all things that perish. We should labour to know and understand our ‘god person’. God said this as the recipe for man’s good eternally.

And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and for the good of their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, rather, to do them good. But I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me. Jeremiah 32:39-40 AFV So it is not any external condition that gives fulfilment but God who dwells in man by His Spirit. This is a mystery that only God quickens in man’s heart. This is why Jesus said man should not labour for food that perishes but for that which endures forever. Ponder in your heart today what life really means to you.

Today’s Exercise: My Father, I thank You for pointing me to what I should labour for. I see that what I am struggling to keep is my life which is only hidden in knowing you. Help me to understand You and seek you in all conditions. Say to yourself today (I seek to know and understand God as I move around and in all my experiences).
