REJOICING IN HOPE

“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬, ‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Hope is the feeling of expectation that something will happen, usually something good. When a child gets a promise of something from the father, he rejoices knowing that the father will do it. He reminds the father when he feels the father has forgotten so he keeps his joy level up. This is what should happen when we receive a promise from God. When you receive a promise from God, that becomes your hope.

In 1988, I received a promise from God that I would be writing tracts and the tracts will be in every home around the world. I did not know how that would be but God made me write the tracts and I was giving them out free. When the internet came with social media, I am still writing the tracts and they are accessible to everyone who cares to check them around the world.

From 1988 till date, I have had a lot of tribulations to make me give up but my joy is in the hope in God’s word through Isaiah “How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬   Knowing God’s word does not fail, I treat the word as done and I rejoice like that young child holding on to the father’s word.

Today’s Exercise: What is the hope you have in Christ? Rehearse it and rejoice in it as if it has happened. Keep rehearsing your joy of fulfilment anytime your heart sinks. Tomorrow we shall look at what to do when hope is deferred.
