SOUL ANCHOR

đź“–

“This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells], [Lev 16:2]” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: When someone whose opinion I valued made a humiliating comment about my work, I was very downcast, angry, unsure of myself and I was almost going to give up on writing. But I had a hope of becoming an authority one day in reshaping the life and values of people. The hope was all that kept me going even when the storm of life blew in different directions.

🤔

The soul is like a ship, the word is the water on which the soul sails and the events of life are the storm and my GPRS was the word of God. Hope is the destination of the soul and my GPRS to get there is the word of God. The soul, and the word are in you and within your control. The events of life are outside you and your control. Like the storm that wants to control the direction of the ship, external events of life try to control your soul and shift your destination which is your hope. If your soul is not anchored to any hope with a definite GPRS, it will be drifting about and will not settle. I leave you to look into your soul today and write down 1. Your HOPE, 2. The WATER on which your soul sails 3. Your GPRS. We shall continue this discussion tomorrow by the grace of God.

Today’s Exercise: Dear Lord, thank You for Your word that gives us hope and also the GPRS to get there. Help me to root my soul in Your word.

  1. I thank you Lord God Almighty for this practical and relatable demonstration.

l am beginning to see how this principle can be used to anchor ones hope – The Word-on any issue thus enabling one to be like our Father by knowing the End/hope/Goal from the beginning as in today – one is then motivated by the realization of the goal.

May the well of wisdom of this ministry never lack the enablement from God. l pray in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
