SYNERGY

““Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We have powerful promises in the bible that Christian’s hardly use but are often quoted. I have experienced people who used Jesus’ promise above to great advantage but not as much as we could achieve. Kings in the Old Testament called for national prayers to stop wars from reaching their shores. Now, we debate within ourselves and we never call heaven to stop wars or diseases etc.

At any rate, let us look at why we do not use the power of agreement in our requests to heaven. First is lack of trust. To agree with someone, you must be able to trust your matter with him. Even pastors are not trusted because you would hear your matter in his next sermon. Second, you are not sure of the other person’s feelings towards your success or otherwise. Third, you are not sure how weighed down the other person is with his own problems. He is only present with you in body but his heart is far from praying together.

This lack of agreement is the greatest spiritual weapon to weaken Christians in achieving great success now. Even in the early church, believers prayed in agreement and God moved. Acts 4:23-31. The power that moved then is still present today if only we can agree. We nurse the seed of disagreement that the world sows through social media to the extent that even husbands and wives don’t agree. As you read this, check out whatever fosters disagreement or lack of trust in you and deal with it. Tomorrow, we shall look into how to help each other to trust God and agree in prayers for our good.

I pray that the Lord will heal all offences and misinformation that erodes trust and hinder agreement with others.
