June 17. Job ch 39-42
Take your life back.
““Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 NASB
GOOD DAY: The state of the world now leaves most people weary, depressed and heavy-laden. Earthly perishable things assume more importance than they should because we think they are the anchor of our life. Temporal things can only give temporal peace, joy and fulfilment. Once you depend on them, they toss you up and down at their will, you lose control. If money, marriage, power, beauty or whatever temporal thing dictates your joy and peace level, then you need to take your life back. It is not a battle you can fight by yourself. You need the help of Jesus.
Jesus as your anchor knows how to calm the storm of the soul. Paul described the state of his soul anchored in Jesus thus: “I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.” Philippians 4:12 NASB
Temporal things appear and go but Christ remains the same forever. So whoever will want a stable life with peace and joy, is better with Jesus. I cannot tell you the way it works but Jesus gives peace in ways only known to him. I invite you to come to Jesus and take your life from uncertain temporal things and the world and have everlasting peace.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I pray today for all troubled souls. May they turn their faces to You and not their backs to find rest in You.
