TALKING ABOUT MY/YOUR BODY

“I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.” Psalms 139:14 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Perhaps until we encounter some things, we will not understand how God made our bodies. When we don’t understand, our body becomes our main point of concern and worry. Some years back, there was a mentally derailed man staying under the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos. He had a bad accident that broke his thigh bone and was exposed. The wound became so bad we thought he would die. He carried the wound untreated for five years and he was not in any pain. Gradually, the wound was healed not by anybody treating it but by God Himself. All of us marvelled at the greatness of God when we saw him healed.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Every cell of your body is packaged and formed “very good”. That was God’s verdict in Genesis 1:31 when He made you and looked at you. His hand is still forming each one of us up till now. “When my bones were being formed, carefully put together in my mother’s womb, when I was growing there in secret, you knew that I was there— you saw me before I was born. The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began.” Psalm 139:15–16 GNT

Your body is formed by God and He fashioned some days for you on earth while you have not lived any day at all. This is too wonderful for man to imagine. He made a way for the body to live, grow and heal itself for the time allotted to man here on earth. Read psalm 139 over many times, you can record it and listen to it as often as possible to have the light of God enter your heart and give you understanding about your body and being. When you understand this, you will trust God instead of fear and worries over your body.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for you fearfully and wonderfully made me. Let my heart take this in and rest on You to carry me through all the days allotted for me. Say to yourself ten times and as often as you can “My body is fearfully and wonderfully made. Every cell of my body is wonderfully made and good enough to serve me all my days. My body is very good.”
