THE AGE OF THOUGHTS (1)

📖

“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: In the early existence of mankind, people worshipped or served God in various works of His hand like sun, moon, rocks, nature, even their ancestors. They perceived God to be far from them and they needed a medium to relate with Him. In the fullness of time, God chose a man Abraham and his seed to reveal Himself to mankind. He sent His Son born through the line of Issac to become man and lived among us and died and resurrected to show us how God lives in man through His Spirit. This is the brief summary of the journey of man with God after the fall.

Jesus said to the Pharisees. That the kingdom of God is not in any place but within us.  “And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that it may be with you throughout the age: Even the Spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive because it perceives it not, nor knows it; but you know it because it dwells with you, and shall be within you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭AFV‬‬

This age is the age of God’s Spirit living in man. Whoever will listen to the Spirit of God in him and follow His leading is serving God. Listen to Apostle Paul put it bluntly;   “Don’t you understand that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God is dwelling in you?” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭AFV‬‬

I leave you to think about you being the temple of God and how you have been able to faithfully live life as such. Tomorrow, we shall look at how God relates with us as His temple.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Lord that you value me so much that You live in me. Help me to value myself by living true to You. Say to yourself as often as possible (I am God’s temple and I do whatever God chooses for me to do.)
