THE CASE OF WHO TOLD YOU? 1

📖📖

“Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”” Genesis 3:9-11 NKJV

📖

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: It plays out everyday that you tell yourself something about yourself. It is either you are too thin or you are too fat; or you are sick or you are poor or you are weak or you are not safe etc. Since the time of Adam in the garden of Eden, man’s default setting changed from being covered by God to seeing himself naked. Nobody told them they were naked but they knew by themselves that they were naked and devised a way to cover themselves. It is this default setting that leads to the invention of various products to mend ourselves to wha📖t we think we should be.

Whichever way you see yourself, people start to see you as such and you begin to feel unsatisfied and frustrated and sometimes envious of those that fit your view of what you feel you should be. We keep eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and we keep dying. Some time ago, I used to feel I was too big and not looking pretty enough. With time, others started telling me I was as big and needed to shed weight. I began to feel inadequate and lost my self esteem. One day while worrying over my looks, I had the voice in me say “Who told you” while I was feeling big looking at myself in the mirror. And the voice which I believe to be the Holy Spirit said again “I say you are good. Never say you are big again”. Since then, I never told myself that I am big; I say to myself that I am good. People soon changed to telling me that I am looking good. They say I look younger than my age. What you tell yourself about yourself is what people tell you eventually. Learn to say what God says about you to yourself no matter what your five senses tell you and your word will soon start manifesting.

The greatest opposition you have is that the five senses shout loud and it is the reasoning part of you. If it cannot add 1+1 to equal two, it begins to shout you to silence from speaking the word of God to yourself. The senses cannot rationalise the word of God but you have to keep speaking it to yourself until it silences the five senses. Whatever you say to yourself is taken in by the spirit world to work it out for you.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Lord for showing me that whatever I say to myself repeatedly is what I manifest for others to see. Help me to speak your word to myself in all circumstances. Say to yourself ten times and as often as you can; “I speak whatever God says about me to myself always not minding what my senses tell me”.
