THE EMPLOYER AND THE EMPLOYEE

📖

““So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.” Matthew 6:31-33 TPT

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I was praying about people who are unemployed and finding living difficult. The Holy Spirit then ministered to me that everybody could be employed if only they can take Him as their employer. I was confused and asked how? He pointed me to our text for meditation today. I said it is a popular scripture quoted by everybody so I don’t know how it is related to employment. 

“When you employ or commission someone to do a job do you not give the employee everything he needs to do it? I have commissioned everyone who believes to make my kingdom be on earth as it is in heaven. As you desire to and are willing to fulfil this, I supply all that you need for survival to show the world that my kingdom is real”. This was the impression that came to me. I thought about it and saw that truly, if we live seeking the kingdom of God, we are saying “Lord, what can I do for You today and how can I do it to show forth Your kingdom here on earth”? There are so many things wherever we are placed that can be done for our neighbours and to make right in our bubble of influence that we all ignore. You have a job and I have a job to be my brother’s keeper. We have a job to love God and love our neighbour. Love is God’s employment for each of us and God who calls us to love adds all the things we lack or struggle to get to us. For the first time, I saw LOVE as an assignment from God and we can never be engaged enough loving God and loving our neighbour. How can you show God’s love to your neighbour today? How can you express God’s love and kingdom in your vocation? As you decide to do this, everything you need will be given to you.

Today’s Exercise; Thank You Lord for showing me that loving You and loving  my neighbour with your love is work. Help me to love with Your love in everything that I do. Make me Your ambassador indeed. Say to yourself ten times and as often as possible “I am employed as an ambassador of the kingdom of God wherever I am  and I do the will of my employee always in any capacity I see”.
