THE GAME OF WORD
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; [11] So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. GOOD DAY: The greatest knowledge to have is the knowledge of God especially in everyday living. When we were young, some superstitions were based on the game of words. Some spiritualists were acknowledged to be able to speak to anything anywhere in the world and it will be as they said it. God gave in today’s verse for meditation how very certain the game of word is. His word has the ultimate power and wherever He sends His word, the word has to perform. When someone sends a word and it performs wherever it is sent, it is because it is God who spoke through that person.
Who is there who speaks and it comes to pass, Unless the Lord has commanded it? Lamentations 3:37 NASB1995. Now let us look at this so we can have peace. If a person declares something and it agrees with what God has in mind for His purpose, even if the whole world says contrary, it is God’s declaration that shall stand. God has His purpose in everything which He establishes by sending His word. The word of God has authority over all things and from wherever it is spoken, it goes directly to where it is sent distance notwithstanding. Word, in our little space, causes movement depending on the authority of the person speaking. If a master tells his servant to get up and do something, the servant obeys immediately. So is the word that God speaks. Give God room in Your heart and you will be His mouthpiece.
Today’s exercise: write out one thing in your life that you want God to speak to. Read it to His hearing and ask Him to speak to it. When He does, you will have peace.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to give You room in my heart so that I will be Your mouthpiece always.
