THE OUTWORKING OF FAITH.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: From the lessons on faith that we received early in our Christian walk, we believed that faith is the way we get our desires and miracles from God. This was exciting at first and many demands that we made on God in Jesus’ name happened quite fast. However, each of us soon found that the teaching and experiences were introductory lessons and not representative of faith. Faith is deeper than that and without knowing and living by the deep understanding of faith, we cannot experience God or please Him.

FAITH is a belief that God exists in season and out of season and He rewards those who seek Him always. With a person of faith, he believes that both good and otherwise come from Him and he simply worships God even in his pains and worships Him knowing that with Him, even his pains could turn to joy. Until I read the book of Job many times, I did not understand faith and I had almost sinned. When I saw God’s reply to the complaints of Job, I would have put his friends as people who had faith in God. Hear what God said to them “It came about after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has.” Job 42:7 NASB1995. Faith recognises God in everything and lives to honor Him in any state he finds himself. This is why Faith works through Love as we saw yesterday. Faith says “if I die I die but I will obey God.” Faith in God is not determined or measured by the good things you have but by how you obey God even at adverse times. It is the measure of love that is in you. This is the skeleton of faith. Tomorrow, we shall put flesh on it but think on this today and get across to me in the comment section or by WhatsApp if you have any queries as you think on faith in God from today’s perspective.

Today’s Exercise: Lord Jesus, no wonder You asked if You will find faith on earth when You come. Faith is not sugar but it is life. Help me to hold on to You always. Say to yourself (In season or out of season, I worship God for who He is and not what He gives. Help me God.)
