THE STRONG TOWER

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Strong tower in bible times is like a bunker in modern times. The difference is that the tower is above the ground and a bunker is under the ground. Both of them are reinforced to resist the weapons of warfare of their time so people who run there are protected.

The name of the Lord is the strong tower or bunker where the righteous run to for safety. How does one run to the name of the Lord? It is with the thought or the mind that we do it. The people knew the way to the strong tower. Today as well, we must know the name of the Lord and the way into it. Our spiritual bunker is the name of Jesus.

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV At the name of Jesus, every knee must bow. At this time of uncertainty all over the world, people who know and run to the name of Jesus have peace and are protected and provided for. I leave you to think of this and see what the name of Jesus means to you and how you honour it or make it vain. Think of a bunker and study how it is kept so that it becomes a confident place of protection for people, especially leaders of countries. Tomorrow we continue from there.
