THE OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE EATING
“O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalms 34:8 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: The taste of the pudding is in the eating means
“you can only judge the quality of something after you have tried, used, or experienced it. Analyzing and evaluating.” I want to ask, have you really tasted God in Jesus or have you just heard how others say how He tastes? There is a world of difference between the two. Many people call gbegiri and ewedu with amala (a meal in Yoruba land) a delicacy. The day I tasted it, I did not like it. It takes quite some time and energy to prepare but I would rather use that energy for something else.
I have tasted Jesus and found that He is good. You see, the same rain falls on everyone on earth. We live under the same conditions. When the economic tide is down, we all feel it. When there is a pandemic, we all feel it and when things are good in general, we all feel it as well. However, the way and with whom we navigate the seasons matter. I have trusted the Lord Jesus through all seasons of life. I have found Him good and able to deliver and stabilize me. “Those who trust in the Lord are as unshakable, as immovable as mighty Mount Zion!” Psalm 125:1 TPT
Most people who reject God or think He is powerless and irrelevant in this generation have not tasted Jesus themselves but believe the accounts of others. God is the same in all generations. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 NASB
He knows about every generation and its status. In fact without Him nothing can be made so He knows the way round every condition. He is the LIFE. he invites you to come and taste Him, why don’t you honor the invitation today? Give this a thought today, and tomorrow we shall discuss how to taste Him and eat Him tomorrow to see how good He is.
PRAY: Dear Lord, draw me to Yourself and teach me to taste You.
