November 17. Romans ch 8-10
WHAT IS YOUR INDEX OF HAPPINESS?
“Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.” Psalm 1:1-3 GNT
GOOD DAY. If you were asked about what will make you happy, what will you say? We have all thought having different things will make us happy only to have those things and discovered that they either do not make us happy or the happiness is short lived. A lady turned thirty years old and was unhappy because she had not gotten married. She prayed and fasted and gave offerings and eventually, her prayer was answered. Two years into the marriage, they got separated because neither her nor her husband was happy. People had thought having money would make them happy. Not long after that desire is fulfilled they discover that money does not give happiness. Nothing that man can think of gives lasting happiness.
SECRET TO HAPPINESS
The secret to happiness is in doing the will of God in whatever position or circumstance that you find yourself. You see, God lives in each of us. Lack of consciousness of this is the major source of unhappiness for mankind. Unless your will and actions are synced with His own, you cannot have enduring happiness. Whoever will choose happiness will choose to be God centered. If you want to be truly happy in a way that is unchanging, learn to agree with God and be thankful to Him knowing that whatever you are going through He will work together for your good.
PRAY: Lord, I choose happiness. Help me to agree with You at all times.
