THE TWO KINDS OF LIFE

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.” 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 ESV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I used to think that spirituality was for select few or specially anointed pastors or preachers or guru. Not until I became born again and accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour did I know that the Holy Spirit is given to every believer in Christ. It is then left to each person to grow in the spirit of God.

The way to grow is by desiring the sincere milk of the word of God. 1 Peter 2:2. I did this first by attending a bible believing church that believes in the Holy Spirit. With time, I decided to read through the bible within a short period. I used a bible in simple language. I discovered that God has emotions, feelings, longings, a mind and he thinks. I then appreciated the fact that we are made in His image indeed. Discovering this in the Old Testament, it was easy for me to accept God as my Father when Jesus introduced Him as such. Until I read through the Bible several times, I didn’t become grounded that God exists. The friendlier you become with the Bible, the more you grow in the spirit and the more spiritual you become. A note of caution: you do not become spiritual or know God by taking portions of the Bible from preachings and not going through by yourself to see the whole story.” The Bible is like the alphabets of the spirit through which communication is carried out.

I leave you to think about this today and tomorrow, we shall look at the natural man.
