UNDERSTANDING YOUR DESIRES
God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him.
Philippians 2:13 TPT
For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 AMP
GOOD DAY: An understanding of your inner being will aid you greatly in improving your life and succeeding in all that you do. Most times, we act on guess work whereas we want to know without doubt that we will succeed in the particular endeavor we are venturing into. Whatever spirit a man allows to live in him, works in him to energize and strengthen him, giving him a passion to will and to act according to the spirit’s purpose. This is why it is very important for a person to consciously invite the Holy Spirit into his heart. The spirit residing in your heart has a purpose. Jesus in your heart wants you to have life more abundantly while the thief or enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy you. The way to fulfill the purpose of the residing spirit is to energize you and give you a desire.
Desire however is a power seeking expression, that is the language of the power working in you.
In other words, if you strongly desire to do a thing, it is certain proof that you have the power to do it. So when next you have a strong desire or passion for a thing, pause to ask yourself which spirit is giving you the desire and revitalizing you to and in the means by which you are getting it fulfilled.
As a child of God, He causes you to will or desire and to act according to His good purpose for His pleasure. When you have a desire, it is God giving you that desire but check how you want to get the desire fulfilled against the word of God. For example, you have the desire to be wealthy and you are being led to cheat or steal then the means of getting it done is not from God because He commands you not to steal or cover your neighbor’s property. Always check the way from scriptures.
PRAY: Thank You Lord that I know that my desire is Your power in me that is seeking expression. Help me to follow You in fulfilling it and not follow other ways or be faster thàn You.
