WHEN MONEY FAILS, FAITH WORKS

📖

“Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”” Mark 5:25-30, 34 NKJV

GOOD DAY TO YOU: It is often said that money answers all things which is a quote from the bible. “A party gives laughter, wine gives happiness, and money gives everything!” Ecclesiastes 10:19 NLT

The story of the woman with the issue of blood above shows that money does fail. Money failed her. She spent all her money with physicians with no result. But her faith was able to heal her. My friend’s uncle was given six months to live because of cancer. He decided to trust God for healing and he was going to adore the Blessed Sacrament every day after Mass. he lived for twenty years and when he was called home, it wasn’t through cancer. I listened to Steve Job’s speech on his deathbed telling everyone to focus on the important things in life rather than dwelling on wealth as money fails. 

Where money stops, faith begins; why don’t we build and live by our faith from the onset? Faith is not acquired overnight. It is the spiritual currency which we need to build like we build physical wealth. Take an inventory of your life today and see how much importance or value that you give to FAITH.

Today’s Exercise: Dear Lord, it is easier for man to build wealth that can be handled than faith that is spiritual yet more potent and more enduring. Help me to give attention to my faith in You in Jesus name. Say to yourself ten times and as often as you can “I give prime attention to my faith everyday”.
