WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS (1)?
Thus they told him, and said, “We went in to the land where you sent us; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless, the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there.

GOOD DAY: There are two sides to every coin namely the head or the tail. The coin referred to in the text above is the land of Canaan. Side one is that the land flows with milk and honey and a sample of its good fruit was brought. That good side was good to behold. Side two was the ‘Nevertheless’ aspect of it. It was the nature of the people there- they were very strong; the cities were fortified and the descendants of Anak (giants) lived there.
This is reminiscent of our lives, our country or where we live. There are two sides to each person’s life and each land’s set up. There are the good things and there are the ‘nevertheless’. The thing is, on what side do you focus? Which side of the coin do you put up? Every life and land has a good and a nevertheless side. There is no coin with head alone or tail alone. No life or land is totally good or totally bad, it is a mixture of both. The side that you choose to focus on decides the quality of life that you will live. As we go into the second half of this year, spend today consciously considering what you focus on. We will continue this meditation tomorrow.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for giving me the opportunity of choice in all things and at all times. Help me to choose to focus on the good and blessings in my life.
