WHO IS IN CONTROL?
📖
“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips [to keep me from speaking thoughtlessly].” Psalms 141:3 AMP
🤔
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: “How did we get here?” A man asked his beloved wife after they separated and their differences seemed irreconcilable. They were still deeply in love with each other yet they couldn’t find a way round their differences. Much later, a friend of theirs said to the wife “your slang in your family was ‘let everyone bear his father’s name’” After playing with this slang for nine years, it worked out in their relationship and the marriage broke up eventually.
The instruction is “Guard your words and you’ll guard your life, but if you don’t control your tongue, it will ruin everything.” Proverbs 13:3 TPT
If you want to guard your life, then guard your words. Set a control on your tongue. Who or what controls your tongue?
💁🏽
The two possible Controllers Of The Tongue.
There are two possible controllers of the tongue. They are God or The World. This is the logistics of control. We see or experience something. There are two ways to speak of the situation to yourself and others. A man having a headache will keep saying ‘I have a headache, this headache is too much, it is killing, etc. he will do some home medication without changing his words. The headache will persist until he goes to the hospital and the headache is given another big name. The headache would eventually kill him spiritually and physically. That is a man whose gateman of his tongue is the world. The man with God as the gateman of his tongue will speak thus always to himself and others; “I am healed and strong of a headache; the stripes of Jesus healed me on the cross of Calvary; my bread and my water are blessed and God takes disease out of me etc”. This man after saying this to himself and whoever notices his countenance and asks will eventually get well. This is the man with God as the gateman of his tongue. What informed his language?
“…Let the weak say, “I am strong!” [Is 2:4; Mic 4:3]” Joel 3:10 AMP
See also Isaiah 8:12. Eventually, your tongue shall become the plowing shares and sickle that you will use to harvest what God has planted. Read James chapter 3.

I leave you today to think of this deeply and apply it to yourself.
