WHY CORRUPTION MULTIPLIES
“The wicked strut about on every side When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.” Psalms 12:8 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: Having lived in different cultures, I observe that all partridges are equal in height except the one that stands on something as a Yoruba adage goes. The heart of man is truly evil and vile if left alone without law and a system to truly enforce it. A simple example is that despite enforcement cameras, drivers of all colors in advanced countries still break the traffic rules. It is the fine that they receive automatically on their phones that cautions most drivers.
When vileness is exalted in a community however, the wicked move arrogantly around looking for what next. In my country, monumental embezzlements of government funds are exposed without any consequence on the guilty, but only talks which soon die down and the people involved are exalted as they flaunt the money around. Even pastors who are supposed to caution them exalt them once they can fund the pastor’s dreams. Law enforcement agents too are silenced with money. Pastors and religious leaders glory in the rich corrupt people being members of their congregations then corruption and vileness increase by the day. Until there are enforced dire consequences for vileness in any community, its people will continue being corrupt. Let each person guard himself with the commandments of God and refuse to exalt wickedness and vileness. If the masses could fear God and remove the foundation from vileness by refusing to do the base dirty jobs, there will be cleansing of vileness in the community.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I pray for a revival in the masses that will make them refuse to be aiders of evil in Jesus name.
