WHY REPETITION?
““For this commandment which I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. It is not [a secret hidden] in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and obey it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and obey it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may obey it.” Deuteronomy 30:11-14 AMP
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I have observed over time that response to the word of God is not by human ability. Until the word gets to the heart and it becomes the heart’s default response to situations, it cannot manifest what it is meant to. We respond to situations with whatever has become our nature.
God gives the way to form a nature that comes from His word by keeping the word on our lips and from the lips it goes to the heart so that the heart will automatically prompt us to do or become what we store in the it as opportunities come.
I have observed that everything has its own voice. When you have pain in any part of the body, what it says is “you are sick with…(a condition)”. That is the usual way we are used to. It is a challenge to retrain the mouth to say ‘by the stripes of Jesus I am healed.’ Or when your wallet is empty and an urgent need arises. It is a challenge to retrain the mouth to say ‘God makes all grace to abound towards me that I have all I need and I abound in every good work.’ This is why it is good to continually repeat our seeding so that it becomes our nature and reaction to whatever presents itself. Our bodies and situations yield to the seed of words in our hearts. If it is God’s words, it will obey it but if it is your pocket or your state of your body or your marriage or anything at all, it will yield to what is in your cloud that you have seeded there. Carry on seeding God’s word to your cloud (mind) in all areas daily. Tomorrow by the grace of God, we will look at the seeds of God’s words that lift out of grieving or mourning.
Today’s exercise: Today, write out what you want in every area of your life. EVERY AREA. Find God’s promise of good in each area and start seeding them daily into your mind. Make them your daily confession.
