WISDOM OF THE ANTS

“The earth has four creatures that are very small but very wise: The feeble ant has little strength, yet look how it diligently gathers its food in the summer to last throughout the winter. Proverbs 30:24-35 TPT

GOOD DAY: You may be wondering how this is relevant to you at a time like this when things are tough like it is winter. World economy is bad and many people are being relieved of their jobs. With the development of robots of all sorts that perform far better than man and don’t need breaks like humans, the future of many jobs is bleak. 

No matter how bad the worldly situation is however, the spiritual remains the same. Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. It is time to be like the ant feeble but wise.  ““Don’t keep hoarding for yourselves earthly treasures that can be stolen by thieves. Material wealth eventually rusts, decays, and loses its value. Instead, stockpile heavenly treasures for yourselves that cannot be stolen and will never rust, decay, or lose their value.” Matthew 6:19-20 TPT. Material wealth is subject to theft, decay and loss of value which we are experiencing now. Those who have a rich stock of spiritual treasure are shining now having joy, peace, and faith that gets their needs met. The spiritual treasures are love, hope, faith, peace, joy and the like. These do not change or lose value. The more of them that you have, the richer you are even in any natural condition. 

To the wise person, the summer in the spirit is when he has time to seek God and his power. It is time to gather how to walk with God. When all the earthly struggles to get things done fail, he begins to look for God. Looking for God is not only by praying but studying His word to understand and live by it. It is how to walk with Him.  That is how to save heavenly treasure. A young man wouldn’t forgive his wife for offences of the past until he lost his job and became poor. It was then he learnt forgiveness. If you are having a tough time naturally, that is spiritual summer for you. Learn to gather and save treasures in heaven instead of complaining and struggling without direction. 

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, teach me to see this world winter as spiritual summer when I have to gather and save spiritual treasures.
