WORK ETHICS THAT TRIGGER DIVINE PROMOTION. (1)

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might;….” Ecclesiastes 9:10a NASB1995

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: A man whose left leg was amputated took it upon himself to control traffic at a busy junction in Ikeja some years back instead of begging for alms. At first, most motorists didn’t obey him because he was illiterate and from the northern part of the country and never dressed well. But with his persistence and not giving up even when the the traffic got congested, we began abiding by his commands. Then people started giving him money as they drove past him. He soon became an expert at it and the Road Safety Corps executive noticed him and absorbed him officially into the corps. This man operated this principle “Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.” Proverbs 10:4 NASB1995

His diligence lifted him. He rose to the third cadre in the command before I left the area.

There are many community services that people can come together with their talents to offer that residents of the community will be willing to pay for. Anyone who can open his eyes will see a service to render in any community. A young man is training himself in the university by doing laundry for a couple of families. The problem in developing countries however is the lack of trust and integrity. Allowing strangers into one’s house is quite dangerous and very few people are ready to take the risk. If we want to eradicate unemployment, we need to first work with people’s mindset. We shall address the hat as the Holy Spirit directs in Jesus name.

Today’s Exercise: Repeat to yourself ten times and whenever you are engaged in any work “I do with all my might this work my hand has found to do”.
