YOU ARE THE OBJECT OF GOD’S LOVE
“But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.” Isaiah 49:14-16 NASB1995
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The first time I was touched by this scripture was many years back when I felt abandoned by God and that my situation was beyond His power so He had left me to whatever would become of me under the load of my challenges. I don’t know how you are feeling now and what you are going through but this scripture caught my attention and my life and perspective changed. You can enjoy the same grace if you open yourself to Him. To be sincere, the situation did not change but I changed for the better and the situation lost its sting till it became nothing. God loves you and your name is written on His palm with your whole story. Each time He opens His palm, He sees you. He is so concerned that you are sad and you think He has forgotten you. Listen to the analogy He gave. Can a woman forget her nursing child? Even if that is possible, He will never forget you. My sister, my brother, you are not forgotten by God. He is passionate about you. Hear what He says of you; “For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.” Zechariah 2:8 NASB1995
You are the apple of His eye. Agree with God that you are who He says you are. He sees everything and at the fullness of His time, all things will fall in place but in the meantime, tell yourself you are who He says you are until faith comes up in you and His joy and peace consume you.
Today’s Exercise: Say to yourself ten times and as often as you can during the day “I am inscribed on the palm of God’s hands; I am the apple of His eye. I am loved by God and precious to Him”.
