YOUR THOUGHTS HAVE CONSEQUENCES (2)
“Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—” Genesis 3:22 NASB1995
HAPPY MORNING TO YOU: Yesterday, we saw that man ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and he died spiritually. He started hiding from God if you read the whole story. There were two trees that God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat. They ate one and they died just as God said. Their souls were detached from God. A soul detached from God is a dead soul. The second tree The Tree Of Life would make man live forever even if he ate it outside the command of God. God therefore drove man out of the garden of Eden and put angels with swords of fire so man could not go back. God made man that He could live with man. Since man rejected God by eating the fruit that brought death, God made the Way to the fruit of the tree of life so that the soul of man can live eternally with God. This is that way: “Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6 NASB1995
Jesus is that way. This is why everyone should accept Jesus into his soul so God can live with him and his soul will not perish eternally.
How is this related to your thought life? If a person refuses to eat of the tree of Life, God is not in him and he is not in God. He can think as far as he wants because God did not withdraw that gift but his thoughts will always lead to frustration and death. This is why people can embezzle public funds in volume that is unreasonable, lie, kill and engage in all evils to fulfill their thoughts. Jesus is that Tree of life that man will invite into his soul to sit in the place of God. He is the Word of God. When He is in you, you can think as far as you want but He is there to guide you to manifest your thought in God leading to life.
Today’s Exercise: Say to yourself ten times and any time you start thinking “I fill my soul with Jesus and He directs my thoughts. I have peace from Jesus and I am not naked”.
