GOOD GIFTS ALL THE TIME
Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:9-11 ESV
GOOD DAY: God wants to comfort and reassure every suffering and doubting person today. Do you believe that God exists? Have you trusted and prayed to Him for something and He has not given you? Have you lost your peace because of what He has not given you? Then today is your day to receive comfort and peace. Look at the scripture above. He tries to make you see Him in your earthly father. Unfortunately though some fathers are so difficult that if you tell their child that God is like such a father, the child will run away from God. This is one reason that fathers have a great responsibility to be God’s image in the home. Your children are seeing God in you. Whatever image they have of you is the relationship that they are likely to have with God when they see God as father. Now imagine how a good father will not give a child everything he asks for not because he does not have it but because he judges it not good for the child either at that time or even at all. The child however usually gets something else except that his attention had been set on that which he asked for. One major reason we used to deny our kids something they asked for is if they would use it to mess up the house. Look, God granted mankind to make some scientific breakthroughs. Now the same mankind is regretting some breakthroughs because of the evil he is using the same inventions for and the damage it is causing to the earth. God is a good father and whatever He does not give you is probably not useful, or could injure you or others. He has the global view and knows His soul concerning His creation. He grants requests that will be beneficial to everyone and fulfill His purpose.
PRAY: Dear Father God, give me an understanding of Your love for me and teach me to be grateful and happy for whatever You give me in Your love.
