May 11. Psalms ch 43-45
AWARENESS
Jesus answered her, “If you knew [about] God’s gift [of eternal life], and who it is who says, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him [instead], and He would have given you living water (eternal life).” John 4:10 AMP
GOOD DAY: Awareness from the dictionary is defined as “the quality or state of being aware : knowledge and understanding that something is happening or exists.” Awareness of anything helps in decision making about life circumstances. I was present at the presurgical information to a patient for a procedure before they would agree to take him to the theater. It was a lengthy lecturing session by various doctors about the possible side effects of their side of the procedure and possible outcomes that could occur. The rate of survival of the procedure was even discussed. He was made aware of the pros and cons then he was asked if she understood everything they had said to him. He was asked to summarize his understanding then he signed up for the surgery when he accepted. This is the importance of awareness. When you are not aware of a fact, you will not know how to apply the truth for your benefit.
The woman at the pool of Samaria was not aware of who Jesus was and what He could give her. She was querying Jesus about things that were actually irrelevant.
Awareness comes with information and it leads to a deep search about what you are aware of as it interests you. The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not get thirsty nor [have to continually] come all the way here to draw.”

I remember years back when I became aware of Hebrews 11:6. But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

That was the beginning of my search for God. I am still searching for how to please Him and walk with Him. What are you aware of now that you desire? It could be anything, write it out. What are you doing about it? The more you search it out, the more you will understand it and the more beneficial it will be to you.
PRAY: Dear Lord, as I become aware of Your presence with me, teach me how to draw life from You.
