April 20. Job ch 3-6
CAN THIS BE GOD
“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told. For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, who march through the breadth of the earth, to seize dwellings not their own. They are dreaded and fearsome; their justice and dignity go forth from themselves. Their horses are swifter than leopards, more fierce than the evening wolves; their horsemen press proudly on. Their horsemen come from afar; they fly like an eagle swift to devour. They all come for violence, all their faces forward. They gather captives like sand. At kings they scoff, and at rulers they laugh. They laugh at every fortress, for they pile up earth and take it. Then they sweep by like the wind and go on, guilty men, whose own might is their god!” Habakkuk 1:5-11 ESV
GOOD DAY. Thinking of the message of Habakkuk, we cannot remove God completely from all the Chaldeans of our own time. Who are these Chaldeans working devastations on earth? They are the scientists who are inventing weapons of destruction in all shades. They are the capitalists depending on and boasting of their power to own and control the world. God works in them to think and to do according to His purpose so that the weak could look look to Him who alone can deliver them. He gives laws and statutes and precepts that will give us life if we study, understand and obey them. Mankind however choose to live by their own laws, statutes and precepts which do not give life. When we taste the fruit of not obeying His instructions for living, we may per chance choose to return to Him and live peacefully. Whenever you see the next post or exposure of the next stage or plan of the Chaldeans of today, take it as a wake up call from God that you should return to Him and live. Check your faith daily to know that your lifestyle is in line with your faith and your focus is eternity not just this existence.
PRAY: Touch me and instruct me in Your ways dear Lord so that my life will be hidden in You.
