Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:13 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: It is an interesting personal revelation to me that God has a full armor for my soul/mind to resist and push back all the enemy’s attacks. Two sporting events thrill me each time I watch them but it made more sense to me when I saw my grandson dressed up for rugby. The armor had protection for virtually every part of the body and I asked him why. He said that in case the opponent did a rough tackle that could cause them to have a serious fall. The armor will protect them from being injured. The head of the team wants them to last the whole of the match no matter the number of times they fall from the opponent’s tackle and win the match.
It is the same with the spiritual contest in our journey of faith. God knows that we will be hit and probably fall with some of the enemy’s tackles. Some thoughts from the enemy will look attractive and we can fall for them but He has provided the armor that will protect us from falling down completely and out of the race. God does not want you to give up on His purpose for your life. He gives you a desire and He supports you to fulfill it that you may have life more abundantly. Like in the rugby game, we get up again and remain firm in faith. Obstacles will be on our path of faith but the closer we are to God and tightly holding on to Him with our armor in place, the stronger we become and the quicker we see the way through or round the obstacle. You are destined to win by holding on to God. He wants you to be victorious for His name sake. You are more than a conqueror in Christ JESUS. Say this to yourself till it permeates your entire being and empowers you to act in the right direction. Tomorrow, we shall continue in our journey of faith.
PRAY: Dear God, help me to believe that you want me to succeed for Your name sake. Hold my hand and lead me on.
