WHILE WAITING FOR THE VISION
“Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision And inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.”

GOOD DAY. Patience is a virtue that comes with peculiar anxiety and doubts if one is not careful. Because there’s time for everything under the sun and man is not in control of the times, we fret, try to force things to happen in our own time and eventually become frustrated when things don’t happen when we want it to. To wait for your imagination or vision that God has given you, you need to be able to wait patiently that you may possess your soul’s desire. What do you do at such times of waiting?
I have found a couple of practices soothing and comforting. First, I keep my written vision or imagination near me at all times. When doubts or frets try to put my soul down, I read it or say it aloud to myself. I remind myself that God does not lie if He has spoken, He will do.
Second, I find praising and thanking God very calming. I praise and worship Him in songs and in words chanting who I know God to be. At times of great pressure, chanting God’s worship in my mother tongue comes in very fulfilling.
Some other times, I look at the supremacy of God over the best and most sophisticated plans of man. Good enough, these events are always around us. The recent one was when NASA planned to launch Artemis, a moon rocket spacecraft was delayed four times. The first three delays were due to technical fault that scientists fixed but the fourth delay was weather related that man had no power over. When I consider happenings like this, I am comforted that God exists and is still in control.
Are you anxious over God’s delay in fixing your life? Are the lies and craftiness of others putting your existence in danger? Has God spoken to you that He has fixed it in the heavens and you are just to wait? Then find one of these ways I highlighted above or another way that suits you to possess your soul in your patience. Share whatever you use so we can learn.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to trust in Your supremacy and love for me while waiting patiently for you.
