DON’T GIVE IN TO DECEPTION
“Do not listen to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria, “Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat each of his vine and each of his fig tree and drink each of the waters of his own cistern, until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey, that you may live and not die.” But do not listen to Hezekiah when he misleads you, saying, “The Lord will deliver us.”” 2 Kings 18:31-33
GOOD DAY: We have all fallen for the game of buying cheap fake goods instead of the original. The makers of the fake goods promise that the goods will deliver the same service if not better. It is when you take the fake good home that you will see your mistake.
This was the situation with the people of Judah in the hands of the king of Assyria. He besieged their land and asked the king of Judah for some gold and silver so that he would leave Judah. He was given his demand but he came back to further demand that the people of Judah surrender to him and he will take them to a land flowing with milk and honey like the land where God planted them.
This is the situation with many Christians. We listen to the quick fix gospel of money, miracles and deliverance and fall for the sweet words of the minister and become their captives. Rather than stay in God, read His word, understand Him and enjoy the peace and joy He gives, we become worse victims of the rat race and wickedness of the world. If the sweet messages were real the way they preach it, every Christian should be excessively rich like their preachers. Go back to this whole story of today’s text and digest it to take it in then choose the way of God to be free and stay with Him no matter what any so-called man of God says. Once it is at variance from the word of God and His Spirit in you, stick with God.

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, deliver us from Satan in disguise parading to be angel of light.

????????????????????????
A case of what you got is different from what you order. This is the order of the day in a deceptive world of make-believe. The antidote is wisdom, knowledge, and understanding and above all the leading of the Holy Spirit. Shalom!

We need to first sow the word of God in our hearts,, live a word based live and have an intimate relationship with Christ before the fruits of the Gospel can manifest in our lives. We must first plant the seed of the word before we get the fruits. But the false teachers and pastors are telling people that they can get me fruits without first planting the seed in the ground.
