YOU ARE IN CONTROL

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: When people talk with me from my home country, they express how tough life is back at home. When I speak with those in the diaspora, it is the same thing that they too say about where they probably risked their lives to come, they say “life is not easy”. Another common cause of bad effects people talk about is the enemy or the devil. They are quick to hear and add to the works of the enemy or devil around them.
What does Jesus have to say about who is really in control of a person’s life? “So be careful how you listen; for whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a longing for truth], even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.” [Matt 13:12; 25:29; Mark 4:25]”
Luke 8:18 AMP You are to guard what and how you listen. Whatever you listen to with your attention and take in determines what you have and you will be given more of it. This is how you are in control because no one can listen or think for you. No matter how bound physically or outwardly limited by whatever or whoever, the choice of listening and thinking are yours and free to use. That choice is unlimited; you are the one who determines what you think, and how far you think. It is the power that God gave man in the beginning and that is how man has shaped his life as early as in Genesis 3:1-6. If you decide today to take control of your life, decide how and what you listen to. KNOW THAT YOU ARE GIVEN MORE OF WHAT YOU LISTEN TO UNTIL YOU BECOME A MANIFESTATION OF YOUR THOUGHT.
Today’s exercise: Say to yourself “I listen and pay attention to God’s voice from today and see Him in everything”.
