SHAPING YOUR LIFE

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”. Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: God is in control of the universe as we saw yesterday but He does so with our free will when it comes to mankind. His Spirit, The Holy Spirit is open to anyone who will invite and welcome Him to his heart. However, the flesh or the world may be the power that you allow to work in you. The way to know which power works in you is through its manifestations. This is how it goes; “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV. While the work of the flesh is listed thus: “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19–21 NKJV.

Whatever power you allow in you sustains its fruit in your life by his word that you speak. Hebrews 1:3 and makes you its image. If love is in you, you speak the words agreeable with love and the Holy Spirit in you will work your word out and sustain the fruit of love. If however you speak the word agreeable with the flesh or spirit of the world, that spirit in you will work its word out and sustain it. Your life will then become an aroma and testimony of the power in you that sustains your desire. Look at the portion of the man that does not love blessing “As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him. As he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, So let it enter his body like water, And like oil into his bones.” Psalms 109 :17–18 NKJV. Check the spirit that dwells in you because it will sustain your life according to the power of his word that you speak. Your life cannot take the shape of the spirit that does not live in you. Just as a goat cannot give birth to a sheep, so also can a man not be the image of the spirit that does not dwell in him. Think about this today and reshape your life as you desire.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for making me see that the spirit I allow to live in me shapes my life. Make my heart the abode of Your Spirit. Say to yourself ten times and as often as you can “I allow love to flow from me. I am the image of God’s love to everyone I touch.”
