OUR JOINT RESPONSIBILITY

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Psalms 115:16 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Today, the Holy Spirit impressed the phrase ‘Joint Responsibility’ in my heart and mouth. My soul stuck to the phrase and I asked the Holy Spirit for its meaning. I was given the understanding that the earth is man’s corporate or joint responsibility. Each one of us has something to do to shape the earth. God has given the earth to mankind but the heaven He has left to Himself. God has also given man counsel on how to keep the earth.

It is not just the responsibility of leaders to take care of the earth and make it healthy, it is the duty of all of us. Leaders should not exclude the innocent public without consulting with them before taking decisions that will affect their lives. When a leader decides to go to war with another country, it is the children of the masses that will face the fire directly. The innocent masses must know what to do at times like that. They should pray and speak words directly to the situation. God has given man his mouth to create. Each person needs to know how to use the creative power of their minds and mouths. The innocent public should see how God says man should treat the earth so as not to defile it then it can vomit out the inhabitants.
“You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.” Leviticus 18:26-28 NKJV Both the leaders and the innocent public must know and follow God’s statutes to care for the earth. I invite all to decide
1. whether they will seek and follow God’s instructions to keep the earth that has been put in their custody and 2. To watch and pray that leaders too will do the same and avoid decisions that can lead to wars and troubles or defile the earth.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for giving mankind the earth. Help us to follow your instructions on how to keep it so it won’t vomit us out. Say to yourself ten times today and as often as possible (I am a responsible custodian of the earth and I teach others to do the same.)
