“The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 NASB1995

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we looked at various bible uses of the word mind. I am sure that a couple of them were of interest to you. One of those that touched me was that man plans his way with his mind then the Lord directs his path. I checked the dictionary meaning of mind and I found that it is the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought. Its other synonyms include understanding, reasoning, judgement, imagination and more. So you plan, think, imagine, reason and feel with your mind. If you cannot use your mind, then you don’t use your imagination. If you can’t use your imagination, you cannot plan. If you cannot plan, you cannot achieve anything as the Lord can only direct your path towards the plan you form or imagine with your mind. Remember: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,” Ephesians 3:20 NASB1995. The power that works within you is only able to work as far as you can think.

IF you want to make your situation better, then think of the better status not your present one then plan your way to that status and let God direct your path. It is not anything outside man that determines the quality of his life but the thing within him. His thoughts. Take stock of your thoughts today.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for the gift of my mind. Help me to use it to present healthy and praiseworthy thoughts to You in Jesus name. Say to yourself as often as possible (I think good and life giving thoughts always.)
