August 12.    Isaiah ch 44-47

UP OR DOWN

“Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].” Colossians 3:2 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: You are a part of where your mind is. Wherever your mind is set is where you actually live and you behave as the life there dictates. You are controlled by the rules and standards of the place. While here on earth, all mankind have the same needs to survive here. To anything man can desire, there are two ways to get it. There is the heavenly way and the earthly way.

Let us see how it works. I have financial needs that must be met and naturally, I don’t see how I can get it. In the heavenly realm, there is no lack. As my mind is set in heaven, it is guided to where and how I can find my supply without hurting fellow human beings. As I do what I should do, the earth produces for me with peace of mind. That is Psalm 23. I have consciously tested this over time and read experiences of others and known this to be true. Mark you, the man whose mind is set on earthly things will be led to the same idea but he will explore it in an earthly way that does not care about the well being of others and even the earth where he himself lives.

Whatever your challenge is now, break the worries and fears that come with it by telling yourself repeatedly that your mind is set in heavenly place with Christ where there is no lack. Tell your mind to be at peace. As your mind becomes at peace, it will be led to where the solution is and how you will get it in a good way. Try it, it works.

Today’s Exercise: Father, thank You for reassuring me that all my needs are in the heavenly realm where there is no lack. Help me to set my mind there and yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Say to yourself as often as possible (I set my mind with Christ in heaven and I am guided to the fulfilment of my desires here on earth.)
