THE SPIRIT IS WILLING.

Matthew 26:40-41 AMP
And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “So, you men could not stay awake and keep watch with Me for one hour? Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: For years now, my spirit has been willing to shed weight but my body is weak. The apostles of Jesus wanted to keep the night awake to pray with Him but their bodies were weak and needed sleep and they could not control themselves. The fact that Jesus was going to the cross could have overwhelmed them. The body could become weak for many reasons.

Now to look at our own situation. Weakness of the body to do what we should leads us to fall into temptation of adverse conditions. Jesus counselled that at such times, we should watch and pray for the body. My spirit was willing to control my diet and exercise and my body was weak until I became big to the level I do not want. You might have an idea that you know in your heart that you will profit if you try it. Perhaps your failure in the past or what you know about economic trend overwhelm you and make your body weak. Then you need to analyse what your problem is and pray for your body to get up and act. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE THE MAJOR PARTICIPANT IN THE SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM. ISOLATE YOUR PART AND PLAY IT.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for showing me that I must pray that my body should cooperate with my spirit in making my life fruitful. Teach me to watch and pray. Say to yourself several times (I speak to my body to rise up and do its work to improve my life and fulfil my purpose.)
