“Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 NLT

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Desires, hope, visions, dreams, aspirations or whatever you want to call it comes in different shades and about different areas of our lives. Our aspirations about wealth come uppermost and common to all. Power and fame are concerns to fewer people. Whichever one you desire and the extent to which you desire it is God given to you. He wants you to have your desire to the fullest but there is the way He brings them.

Your desire or dream that comes from God does not come hastily. It takes time for God to really prepare you to handle the blessing. See Joseph who saw the vision that he would be a leader even of his brothers and parents which was a desire that God triggered in him. Then see how it came to be; “Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of Jehovah tried him.” Psalms 105:19 ASV. Joseph was sold to slavery, he was put in prison out of no fault of his. Even when he became tired in prison, he still did not leave obeying God. You need patience and trust in God that His word never fails to keep holding on to him while he is testing you. Whatever promises you a short cut to your desires is not of God. With God, it looks like the longer your trying time is, the bigger and more significant the blessing is. Tomorrow, we’ll look more into God’s way to your blessings.

Today’s Exercise: Dear Lord, thank you for teaching me that every desire and dream you give has its time of trying before fulfilment. Help me to write it down and patiently wait for it, keeping my eyes on you.

Hmmmmm, ‘It takes time for God to really prepare you to handle the blessing’. This really got to me.
I got this word when it mattered the most and I know it was God-sent that early morning. It was the quote that blessed me. I was really down, don’t feel like going to the office that day because of something that happened the previous day.
