“For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’” Luke 19:21-23 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: God gives us the way to enjoy his blessings in our lives no matter the situation or environmental conditions. Ignorance of God’s instructions however makes man suffer untold hardship. One secret that opens or shuts the door of blessings and abundance is contained in this story that Jesus told in our text today. It is hoarding or burying your talent.

Do you know that you have a talent? You have a unique gift peculiar to you like your finger prints and it is to be used for the benefit of all humanity and the kingdom of God. The gift includes the revelation knowledge that you are able to pick to help others in the use of their talents .

God teaches us to put our talent to use while the world says keep your talent or knowledge to yourself so others who have means don’t steal it and take the glory. Whatever thought or philosophy that makes you hoard your talent is leading you to poverty. You may not have the money or wherewithal to develop the talent or idea that God drops in your heart but share it with others who have what you don’t have so it can be developed to benefit all.

The very reason you give to God for hoarding or burying your gift is what will be used to judge you. The time of judgement is not in the end, it is every time the thought of that talent disturbs your mind. Judgement is continuous.

Think deeply on the parable of Jesus above and receive wisdom on how to use your talent to benefit mankind, increase yourself and glorify God. I pray that as you consider this thought, the Holy Spirit will give you the understanding that will open the door of fulfilment to you.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you God that you want life for each person in his state. Help me to understand your gift to me and how to use it so it will yield fruit for the glory of God and benefit all.
