WHO TOLD YOU

“And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we saw that we need to man the gate of our souls and I said we shall see practical examples. The first and basic example is when a person decides to start a business, he is happy, hopeful and convinced that the business is good. He starts with enthusiasm and things are going well. He now meets a little obstacle of reduction of sales. If it happens for a couple of days consistently, he begins to entertain fear and starts to ask people why such is happening. He listens to them, listens to news, social media and his opinion would change after considering all that he has heard. He would forget all that his intuition told him when he was about to start. The thief had entered and stolen his joy, peace and zest.

The first gateway to your soul is what you hear. This is why Jesus warned thus: “Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ When you start hearing things that lead to loss of your peace, joy and zest, the opposite of love, peace, and zest will be given to you. Jesus also said “Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. So both what you hear and how you hear it will determine what is given to you. This applies to virtually every aspect of life. Your partner was good when you started. What did you hear about him/her that changed the dynamics?

Today’s Exercise:   Dear Father, thank you for telling me that what I hear attentively can change my gains to loss. Help me to look into what I hear and keep hearing to know whether they are useful to keep or I should discard them and replace them with your word. Do a soul clearing exercise in any area of life that does not enhance your joy, peace, life and zest.
