UNWRAP YOUR GIFT

📖

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. ‭2 Timothy 1:6-7 NIV‬

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Today is the day that people unwrap the Christmas gifts that they got yesterday. Boxing Day has its origin in rich people boxing food and goods for their servants who worked on Christmas Day to go home and enjoy with their families.

🤔

This is my take and I believe the Holy Spirit is the one talking. Each of us has a gift from God that will make a way for us, bless humanity and glorify God. It reminds me of Judges 9:9 where the olive tree talked of its gift. Many people have left their gifts from God unwrapped for years but today, God is asking you to unwrap the gift and stir it up to honor God and man.

🤔

The question is are you aware of your gift from God? What do you do that gives others joy and makes you fulfilled? It may be as simple as smiling. When you smile, it gives hope, and encouragement to others. I once met a caring graphic artist in a business center when I was so troubled in my private life and business. Her warm disposition with expertise kept me revived, healed my emotional wound and stabilised me in publishing. She was a gift to her employer and we clients as well. She also got money as tips from satisfied clients.

Spend today looking into your gift from God and pray to Him to help you unwrap and use the gift wherever you are. Don’t be shy or despise your gift. Appreciate it and use it for therein lies your accomplishments.
