KNOWING GOD

“Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”” John 14:21 NLT

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we saw that people don’t call on God because they do not know Him. Today, we are going to look into how to know God. It is a broad topic but we’ll take it in little bites as God leads us.

Looking into the natural that we are familiar with, we can know others in the physical but real knowing them is through the side of them they reveal to us. You might live with someone for years and not know some aspect of him because he did not reveal it to you. It is the same with the spirit realm.

You can call the name of God without knowing Him. You can memorise scripture without knowing Him. Jesus did not hide how to know God from us. He said that whoever loves Him will accept His word and obey them (to the level he understands). Emphasis mine. Then His father God will reveal Himself to such a person. In Genesis 18:17-19, God said He won’t hide His plans from Abraham because he will not only obey Him but also teach his children to do the same.

So the first step to knowing God is to accept Him that He exists and live in obedience to what He says in the Bible to the level of the understanding that you have then He will reveal Himself the more.
