THE NATURAL MAN

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Who is the natural man? Simply put, the natural man is the man who believes in only what he can analyse through his natural senses; his five senses. We all started off like that. We only believe what we can see with our physical senses. Things perceived with our physical senses are mainly processed as far as they affect us personally. There is no consideration of God or knowledge that we are more than the body and the things that surround us. “But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.” Jude 1:10 ESV Natural people are moved only by what they understand from their instincts which eventually are able to destroy because they do not know the spiritual implications.

Take for example, a natural person will want and try to avenge any offence committed against him. If you ask him to forgive and leave vengeance to God, he will not understand because either he does not know God or he sees the way of God as powerless to redress the wrong. Meanwhile, unforgiveness is killing him on the inside until it eats his body up.

Natural man does not understand the way of God. If you examine yourself today and see that the way of God does not make sense to you, then pray that the Holy Spirit should fill and teach you Himself. To every circumstance, there is the way of God as well as the way of man.
