RULE YOUR SPIRIT

“He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a broken down city without a wall.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭28‬ ‭AFV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I can bet your house or apartment is as secured as possible and you keep it gated so you can control the people and things that can come in. If an unwanted visitor or unwelcome person comes in, you know how to make them leave. In my house, there are even discussions that are not permitted for different reasons. Through these measures, safety is guaranteed for every occupant and contents of the house.

The same is to apply in the spirit realm. Your house is your mind or soul or heart. The occupants from God are love, peace, joy etc. at birth. A baby has no fear at all and he warms up to everyone and anything. The older he gets, the more aware he becomes and the more he chooses what he thinks.

Thoughts are the visitors in the house i.e. the heart of man. Thoughts come in and to every thought there is its fruit or feeling. Thoughts bring life or death. Unwanted thoughts bring fear, hatred, lust, anger, jealousy etc. to the heart of man. Wanted thoughts bring love, peace, joy, boldness, and life to the heart of man. This is where you must guard your house.

Any thought can come in but you have to quickly reject thinking the thought once you feel what it produces in your heart. Apostle Paul gave the gatekeepers of the heart in this verse; “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭AFV‬‬

Guard your thoughts by the above standards.

Practice awareness of the product of your thoughts over issues that come your way today and journal them with the fruit or feeling each one gives you.

I pray that you become aware of your feelings today and think thoughts that give you hope, joy, peace, love and the like in Jesus name.
