“And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; and the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, it shall be opened.” Luke 11:9-10 AFV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: When under any affliction especially if it is prolonged, it is natural to ask questions. When you ask, answers will be supplied by various people and virtual means. When the answer you get is correct, it gives you some rest then you go to the next stage of seeking to get in touch with God sometimes through mediums or directly by yourself depending on how desperate you are. I found that going through mediums of any sort never satisfied my hunger and need for God. In my time of seeking, I found sustained rest for my soul in the bible and I chose to read it with the purpose of knowing God from cover to cover. It was then I saw all forms of possible afflictions and how God was involved with them. I met with a personal God. He opened my understanding such that I was able to relate with Him though I did not know Him. The more I was relating with Him through the Bible, the livelier our relationship got and the deeper my rest and peace of mind became daily. It was unexplainable to me but I had this peace despite my affliction not going away. He gave me peace instead of what I wanted. All the things I lost were not restored but I had peace that I never experienced before. This was my experience of seeking. I still cannot put a form to God but I know He is near me yet He is in me. I know many things about Him now and the beauty of finding Him is that He lives in each of us and you can relate with Him in everybody no matter whether that person is aware of Him or not. Everyone who seeks Him will find Him. Until you seek Him, you cannot find Him. Jesus opened the door for man to know God personally. He paid the price to remove the barrier between God and man. As you reach out to know Him today, I pray that your soul finds the peace it is striving for.

Today’s Exercise: Dear God, I thank You that You have shown me that knowing You is life and it is continuous. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ who came to remove the veil separating me from You and showing me the way to live with you daily. Teach me to fan the flame of my relationship with You in Jesus name.
